Windows Vista & Server 08 SP2 Released, as well as WLM Web Messenger :)

A couple of things have happened overnight. Firstly Windows Vista & Server 2008 Service Pack 2 have been released for public download. Your computer won't automatically get it right away (Windows Update people will get it delivered to their computers in a few months time) but you can download it manually from the Microsoft website now http://tinyurl.com/o6cv4n. This is also the option you should take if you want to update more than about 2 computers - you will save lots of download usage that way.

Secondly - Microsoft released Windows Live Web Messenger to the Hotmail site yesterday for Australian users. Basically this means that you can instant message friends and family on Windows Live (aka MSN) without having to download and install the Windows Live Messenger program. You will get a better experience if you do download it, but if you're on the road at a computer that doesn't have Windows Live Messenger and you need to do some quick IMing - then this is perfect for you. Here is a few pics of it from the Windows Live Team Blog.
