Office 2010 Technical Preview Is Here!

E-mail Print PDF

At it's Worldwide Partner's Conference 2009, Microsoft announced the Microsoft Office 2010 Technical Preview. I have a copy of this preview - currently invitation only. I will be doing some reviews of it throughout the next few weeks, I've taken 17 screenshots here as a preview.

I've featured 2 screenshot of each program included in Office 2010. The first more colourful screenshot is of Backstage View. This replaces the File menu of Office 2007 and has many improvements - mainly in printing. The 2nd is of the program's main window. With Microsoft Word I've decided to add a couple more shots just to show off a couple new things - these are actually common across all Office 2010 programs.

Word 2010 Backstage New Document - You can choose from a blank document, your own custom templates, or use the templates from Microsoft Office Online all from this screen.

Word Backstage Print

Word 2010 Backstage Print - One of Microsoft Office 2010's most sensible and logical new features. Print and Print Preview are no longer separate items. When you choose print, you have a preview of your document next to the print setting controls. Very sensible idea.
